By Lok News Bureau • Aug 30th, 2008 • Category: World

SUVA - The need to serve the people more effectively and to answer their queries instantly has led the Ministry of Agriculture to implement an awareness campaign better known as ‘Care for Client’.

In an interview with the Department of Information early this morning the Acting Permanent Secretary for Agriculture Dr Richard Beyer said that this campaign is for the Ministry to know more about the problems faced by the people.

“There are certain ways that the Agriculture Ministry can be contacted with regards to this ‘Care for Client Campaign’. Its can be through phone, e-mail, fax and text message.

“This campaign will ensure that our client receive a response as soon as possible within twenty four hours,”said Dr Beyer.

In addition Dr Beyer reiterated that the main purpose of this campaign was the result of the many calls received by the office whereby no response is given to callers, because contact officers at the Ministry are attending meetings or are unavailable during the time of the call.

This according to Dr Beyer is a behaviour not acceptable to him and the Agriculture Ministry.
